Dining Facility Supervisor

$49,543.00 To $49,543.00 Annually

Responsible for the overall operation of the Dining Facility in the absence of the Dining Facility Manager. Monitors facility operations to ensure compliance with all contract requirements.

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to uphold sanitation standards.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the 2019 Tri-Service Food Code.
  • Prefer candidates with a current ServSafe Manager National Restaurant Association certification.
  • Require a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in the food service industry within the last 10 years.
  • Maintain availability of all entrees for patrons while enforcing portion control measures.
  • Provide comprehensive briefings to cashiers and line servers on their responsibilities.
  • Conduct training sessions as necessary, demonstrating tasks and procedures effectively.
  • Monitor monetary income to ensure the facility operates within authorized allowances.

Job Description –
Individual will be tasked to assist in the process of ordering/receiving of subsistence through NET-Chef’s Crunch time information system.  Must be thoroughly familiar with proper storage techniques, how to conduct inventories, and FIFO (first in/first out) procedures.
  • Inspect food deliveries from vendors and check product temperatures
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of storage areas and refrigerators
  • Monitor temperatures of both food products and refrigeration units
  • Issue subsistence to the food preparation area
  • Return unused items to appropriate storage areas after meals
  • Provide accurate counts of issued items to management for each meal
  • Conduct inventory twice a month

 Accounting Clerk 

Daily Tasks: Collection of all Facilities daily paperwork to include cashier side as well as the storeroom side. Answering phones, customer service, and assisting Managers and Supervisors.  Constant communication with all Vendors and attends to meetings. Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.   Performs other duties as assigned by Office Manager/Project Manager.

 

*Cashier side to include validation of all daily turn-in paperwork -AF79, cash, register tapes, credit card receipts for an approximate-15 dining facilities. Responsible in preparing the bank deposits and traveling to the bank for the actual change. Responsible in preparing pre-numbered A.F. Form 79’s and issuing to dining facilities upon request.  Data Entry: daily meals served, head counts, DLI meals purchased on credit, record of all funds collected.

*Storeroom side to include validating all daily purchases per facility per vendor. Troubleshooting any issues with vendors with the facility or vendor with any outs of product from vendors. Ensuring that any changes with them are correct with the Stores Web and newly Net-Chef- Adding, deleting, and modifying any food items that are required.   Essential in maintaining all items are available per the AF Menus. Ensuring all MRE (meals ready to eat) are accountable for.

 

Monthly: prepare monthly billings; meals served to foreign students, SF 1080-validations. MRE (meals ready to eat), AF 1119, SAIIT,

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Must have experience in responsible clerical or office work which includes demonstrated ability to perform common arithmetic Ability to add, subtract, multiply problems, and making change when receiving payments from facility managers, supervisors, and customers. Must also have experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit or other processing of cash items when this includes (1) direct handling of cash items, and (2) use of cash accountability control methods. Must be able to read, speak, and write English.  Must know Microsoft Office (computer literacy), time management, attention to details, must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skill in dealing with military personnel.  Must be able to sit, stand, walk, push, pull, overhead reaching, grasp, bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds.  The position requires that you are able to obtain & complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). This position requires a Cac-Card that gives you access to a government computer.

All supply orders that have any errors or submitted incomplete will be brought directly to the managers attention to include the Project Manager.  You will be required to submit DD form

1348-1, turn-in of government property condemned to Defense Re-utilization and Marketing Office located at Ft. Sam Houston. Must be familiar with food service supplies, expendables, equipment and have a basic understanding of their use Assist in issuing supplies to 16 accounts and all purchases of items on invoices or items received are input into the computer system. Monitor customer orders prior to delivery of selected items. Schedule vendor orders to meet customer requirements on a monthly basis and assuring stock availability. Insure supply needs are met.  Ensure warehouse facility follows standards, OSHA and Hazmat. Responsible for equipment maintenance and repairs in 16 locations.   • Front desk: Greeting visitors, managing high volume of phone (2-phone lines) calls, answering promptly, identify yourself, speak clearly, take notes and route calls to the appropriate person. Handling mail; pick up mail (off base) occasionally and drop off mail daily (on base), direct incoming shipments to the appropriate departments. All packages or letters are to be delivered to the post office promptly and make copies of the paid receipt(s) of packages or letters for the appropriate department(s). Access to two (2) computers (company & Air Force -Government-Cac Card required) reading & responding to emails

    • Document preparation: daily, weekly, & monthly; creating, editing,  distributing documents, presentations, and reports

    • Confidentiality: Works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations.
  • Ability to conduct Food Handler Training in the absence of the training manager to all employees and maintain record keeping. (Serv-Safe certification is a plus)

  • Brief the safety committee on recent workplace accidents.
  • Work closely with insurance carrier, treating medical provider and claims adjuster as necessary; ensure cases are closed appropriately.
  • Follow up and stay in regular contact with injured employees.
  • Coordinate with the employee’s supervisor to review work restrictions and provide light duty accommodations.
  • Maintain OSHA 300 log and OSHA 301 Injury and Illness Incident Report Forms. Prepare end of year OSHA 300A summary.
  • Communicate with Insurance carrier regarding loss run reports
  • Maintain workers’ compensation files for each injured employee. After file is closed, it is to be scanned in the employee’s profile.
